When did that happen?
All of a sudden Daniel and I are having people over for dinner with our grown up friends and they are actually listening to what we are saying and not discarding it as some lame-o whatever that "some kid" said. Okay maybe they are...but they keep coming back for it if they are. And then we are in meetings and for some reason we are somehow kind of leading them. We start off with prayer and then go through our notes...with people older then us. They seem to follow and we all come to an agreement....I wouldn't think twice of this, except we are making decisions that are in essence changing peoples everyday lives. What the heck? So I ask you, when did it happen? When did my friends start having families of their own, and start buying houses and cars and having meetings and soccer games for their 8 year olds? Because I realized this morning that all of a sudden I am a grown up.
Um.... StrongBad?

yeah. so for the last three years that we were in Georgia, drew was the executive director of the youth ministry... he got the big office & leather chair & had to wear ties sometimes.
and there were a LOT of people old enough to be our parents that listened to him (sometimes).
but the first time i felt like a grownup was about a year ago. no more mentors. no more hanging out with highschool & college students.
sometimes i STILL wanna insist that i'm just a kid... and i miss my mama.

I am with Joel. Since I still watch StrongBad, Veggietales, and the Muppets I don't think I am a grownup. Besides I remember someone posting a video about a dung beetle.... That does not seem very grownup to me

Thats funny - every where mama and I go we see lots of old people and laugh how they look and act - then we realize "we are one!" :o( life goes by so quickly - make it count Kristi - you are and "you are one!"

Being grownup doesn't mean you have to play grown up all the time.
I love laying on the couch watching cartoons eating my captn crunch....
I think we look as being responsible as growing up huh? I wish i could be young again maybe 3 times a week :)
